Dr. Norman Hankins

Dr. Hankins has been working as a vocational and economic consultant full-time since 1988. Prior to that, he was on the faculty at East Tennessee State University as a professor of Psychology. From 1978 to 1988, he served as the Chairman of the Department of Human Development and Learning. He received his undergraduate degree from Tusculum College in 1958 in Business Administration. He then attended East Tennessee State University where he received a Master of Arts degree in Educational Supervision and Administration in 1962. He completed his doctoral work at the University of Tennessee and graduated in 1964 with a Doctor of Education specializing in Counseling and Educational Psychology. Dr. Hankins has held a contract as a vocational consultant with the Social Security Administration's Office of Disability Adjudication and Review since 1965. He has also held a contract as a vocational consultant with the Veterans Administration since 1993. He is a licensed psychologist in the state of Tennessee and a Diplomate member of the American Board of Vocational Experts. He is also a Certified Earnings Analyst (CEA) through the American Rehabilitation Economics Association and currently serves on the organization's Board of Directors.

 

Bentley Hankins

Bentley Hankins has been working with Hankins and Hankins since June 2007. As an undergraduate he attended Clemson University and graduated in December 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. In May 2007, he received a Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Tennessee. Bentley has done extensive research on issues related to employment and people with disabilities and the impact of disabilities on an individual's ability to earn money. He has recently had an article published in the American Board of Vocational Expert's "Journal of Forensic Vocational Analysis". He has also gained professional accreditations as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and a Certified Vocational Evaluation Specialist (CVE) and is a Fellow member of the American Board of Vocational Expers. In addition, he has been serving as a vocational expert with the Social Security Administration's Office of Disability Adjudication and Review since 2009.
